Easy spinach & leek dish
Leeks are very versatile vegetables. They can be used on their own as a main dish, mixed with other vegetables or used as a flavour agent in soups and stews.
Today we start with a straight forward recipe: a spinach & leek dish
1 medium leek, sliced 400g (1 bag) fresh OR baby spinach 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp olive oil Salt & pepper to taste Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese
Sautée the leeks first, adding the minced garlic and spinach after 3 – 4 minutes.
Cook for a further 2 – 3 minutes
Season with the salt and pepper
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese if preferred
Serve hot
This recipe takes about 15 minutes to prepare and cook and serves 3 – 4 people.
